IPConfig on remote computer


Sometimes it is necessary to take a look into an IP configuration on a remote computer.  RDP connection or PSExec + IPConfig will help in this case.

One more way to read the IP configuration is to use WMI. The attached PowerShell script shows all the information about all network connections on the remote machine.

    I’d prefer to use Remote IP Configuration utility of AdminToys Suite from http://www.admintoyssuite.com/

    It allows you to change network card settings instead of just viewing IP address, mask, DHCP etc.

  2. Definitely, any specialized tools are almost always better than a hand-made script. Just they almost always not free
