Recently I have tried to create a macro for my Excel 2007 workbook. The macro did not work properly, then I found a better way with use of Excel functions and I deleted the macro. However, since then I started receiving the following error message every time I want to save my workbook
The fix has been found pretty quickly but is not easy to memorize, so I have posted it here.
- Click on Excel Office Button
- Click on the Excel Options button
- Select the Trust Center tab
- Click on the Trust Center Settings… button
- Select the Privacy Options tab
- Uncheck the Remove personal information from file properties on save box
- Click OK twice
Thanks it was really helpfull for me..

Shikha

Many thanks! I was running crazy about this one!!!!
Thanks, this was exactly what I needed to know.
Billion Thanks 🙂
It’s worth noting that this disables a security feature in Excel. It might be better to find out what is wrong with the workbook that you’re working in rather than disabling this option.
This is an important point, and you are 100% accurate, however 90% of ‘solutions’ to this issue simply turn off the warnings. Why can’t excel show you exactly where the issue is instead of just show a generic warning sign? You really want to solve the issue not just cover it up but they don’t make this easy.
Absolutely agree. Unfortunately, this is the only solution I know so far
it helped thanks

The option is greyed out.
Possibly it is restricted by GPO
