Windows Server Installation Stuck on the First Screen

I recently faced pretty interesting issue – I could not install Windows Server 2003 on DELL PowerEdge 2950. Even though I used DELL build utility and did not see any error messages or warnings, as soon as the server was rebooted to start Windows installation, it stuck at the very first screen of the installation process:

The solution was found in a couple of hours and was simply as well as strange – disabling all virtual media.

When you see the message “Press <CTRL+E>for Remote Access Setup within 5 seconds….”, press Ctrl-E and then go to Virtual Media Configuration to disable/detach all virtual media.

After this the installation happens successfully. You even do not need to use DELL build utility again; just boot from hard drive and the installation will go as it was supposed to do from the very beginning
